I have graduated from Electrical and Electronics Department from Bilkent University in January 2016. Then, I have channeled my inner curiosity about human consciousness and brain processes into an academic goal. Right now I'm pursuing a MSc degree in METU Cognitive Science Department. My current research aim is to investigate the own-age bias in facial age prediction, and integrate the so called bias into a neural network architecture.
I was responsible for the administrative duties for the projects that were already going on. This involved visits to sites when required, whereas my main focus is preliminary planning of the sites and scheduling the future work which will be implemented on sites. Moreover, my second responsibility was to seek for the future prospective projects and preparing offers for tenders.
I worked as a Teaching Assistant during lab hours, and my responsibility is to help students strengthen the concepts they have learnt during classes. Occasionally, during lab hours, lab quizzes were conducted as well. Outside of the lab hours, another responsibility given to me was to check students’ codes, validate them and grade them. CS 113 course was focused on MATLAB and CS 114 course was focused on Java.
Currently working on Own-Age Bias in Humans and seeking a feasible method for implementing the so called bias on Neural Networks which are biased with actual age distribution data.
Received a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme. Programme was heavily concentrated on Electronics Engineering. During my studies, I have taken classes from Psychology department in order to fulfill my curiosity, as I mentioned earlier. Completed the degree with a two-stage senior project with the same team (Bera İçli and Zafer Yapmış). First stage was to implement a FPGA Based Number Recognition System and the second stage was to implement a Digital Transreceiver Radio working with DBPSK in the frequency region of 30 MHz.
